You can help change someone's life. When you make a scholarship possible you give a gift of lifelong learning.
Plus, every year's announcement honors your family or a loved one...maybe even a favorite teacher! Our scholarship program dates to 1951. Among those who have started scholarships are teachers, government workers, business owners, family members of loved ones who passed away all too young, organizations and past scholarship recipients.
Here are four easy steps to starting your own scholarship fund:
- Decide whether you want to start the fund now or later through your estate plan (to help you, please include your professional advisor and/or us in the discussion).
- Decide the type of asset you want to donate (some are more advisable than others).
- Complete the appropriate paperwork for a scholarship fund.
- Transfer the asset with a minimum value of $25,000.
That's it; creating your philanthropic legacy – and helping innumerable future students – couldn't be simpler. We hope it gives you great joy to know you are giving others the gift of education.
