A Conversation About Race with Dr. Beverly D. Tatum – This Understanding Hampton Roads forum is sponsored by the Hampton Roads Community Foundation in partnership with Virginia Humanities.

The community event at the Chesapeake Conference Center will feature a talk by Tatum, author of Why Are All the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria? And Other Conversations About Race. She is the former president of Spelman College in Atlanta. Following her talk, she will lead a public conversation about race in Hampton Roads.
